Catechists and their helpers visit state schools in the parish on a
weekly or biweekly basis. Lesson times are approx. 30 minutes.
Training for this ministry is organized by the CCD.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
The
primary role of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion is the
distribution of Holy Communion to parishioners who are ill or unable to
attend
These ministers are selected by the Parish Priest
and are required to undertake study of the protocols and procedures for
the performance of their duties

Finance Committee This is a
Committee convened by the Parish Priest to provide advice on Parish
Financial matters. The
objective of the committee is to develop current and future financial
plans to meet the growth and needs of the spiritual and material
requirements of the parish community.
The committee is also conscious of the need to protect and
maintain existing assets. To
achieve this goal the committee relies on the continued generosity of
parishioners to contribute to the second collection and planned giving

Senior and Junior Altar
Servers
A team of non-ordained men & women, boys and girls, who play their role
in the celebration of the Liturgy by carrying out a true liturgical
ministry. In assisting the
priest they are seen as carrying out a ministry to God, a ministry to
his people.
Boys and girls from the Parish who have received
the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion may become Junior
Altar Servers.. Parental approval must be obtained before training can
start.

St Vincent de Paul Society
Conference members visit people in their homes and offer assistance as

Parish Property Maintenance Team:
This is a group of volunteers who take up the role
of caring and maintenance of the Parish Properties such
as the buildings and the lawns etc, by periodical repairs and
maintenance.

Flame Youth Group
The
youth group is designed for years 6-8. It is a group where they can
socialize, play games and pray. We not only meet once a fortnight
(on a Sunday) but also go on outings, attended workshops and join in
parish functions. We love to see new faces as any one is welcome
to drop by to see what we are about. We are also always after new
leaders from years 10 -12 and parent helpers.

PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK
Visitation Groups:
A team of people who make regular visits on a
rostered
basis to
Visited every Monday. In accordance with hospital regulations, only
those who are Catholic are visited.
If the patients so wish, arrangements are made for them to
receive Holy Communion or to be visited by a priest for Reconciliation
and Anointing of the Sick.
Nursing Homes
Mass is celebrated in each home on a monthly basis and members of the
Legion of Mary assist in preparation by bringing residents from their
rooms. Holy Communion is taken to residents once a week.
Some of the residents, who are lonely, are visited individually
by a member of the team to offer friendship.
Home
Visits
On Mondays, Holy Communion is taken to approximately 20 parishioners by
Eucharistic Ministers. In
addition visits are made on other days to suit the needs of the
parishioners.
